The list comprises of the planent’s top 72 power brokers, representing one in every one hundred million people of the 7.2billion inhabitants of the world.
In its introduction of Dangote, Forbes said, ‘’Dangote is by far Africa’s richest man with a net worth of 16.1bn dollars and also one of the most diversified with interest in cement, sugar, flour, salt and, most recently oil and petrochemicals.’’
It also described  Dangote as a top philanthropist on the African landscape.
Russian president Vladimir Putin emerged world’s most powerful person, while US President Barack Obama is second.
Xi Jumping, Secretary General of China’s Communist party emerged third, Pope Francis 4th, Germany Angela Merkel is 5th and Billionaire Bill Gates is 6th on the list.
Billionaire Carlos Slim is 12th, Saudi King Abdullahi is 8th while Samsung Chairman Lee Kung Here clinged the 41st position.
