Danjuma Foundation awards N212m for girls’ education, others

TY Danjuma Foundation has awarded N212, 287,940 in grants to 19 non-governmental organizations (NGOs) to intervene in areas of health, education and skills training in eight locations across Taraba, Edo, Enugu, Ebonyi, Borno and Kaduna states, as well as the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

A statement issued by the foundation’s Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Sunday Udo, said the grant would fund 23 projects in all and that the projects in education and skills training would focus on teacher training, capacity building for School Based Management Committee (SBMC), promoting girl child education, improving learning environment and facilitating integrated school feeding.

The projects in the health sector will focus on the provision of free maternal and child health, free comprehensive eye care and free surgery  among others.
