Dantata foods and allied products and Centre for Dry Land Agriculture (CDA) Bayero University Kano (BUK) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding that will come up with collaborative efforts through researches to ensure effective utilization of land and water for effective agricultural productivity development for small holder farmers.
Disclosing this during the MoU signing ceremony held at the University senate’s chamber, Chairman of Dantata foods and Allied products, Alhaji Tajuddeen Dantata said the current COVID-19 pandemic calls for more researches that will enable for water and land utilizations that will allow smallholder farmers benefit adequately from the little farmlands they cultivate, adding that the collaboration between Dantata and the CDA of the university will be beneficial to small holder farmers.
In his address, the Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof Muhammad Yahuza Bello stated that, the collaboration has come at right time especially when the agitation for collaborations between the academia, industries and government is at its peak.
