The Kanam Development Association (KADA) has debunked the claim by former Governor of Plateau State, Senator Joshua Dariye representing Plateau Central District that he constructed an ICT center and other projects in Dengi as claimed in his publications.
The association in a letter addressed to Dariye through their solicitors, S.G Idrees & Co. dated December 29, 2017 demanded for explanation regarding the said publication.
The publications, which were titled “Performance Index of our Dependable Senator” and “Empowerment Programme of Senator Joshua Chibi Dariye” were said to be his personal publications to his zone on his achievements as their senator.
The letter claimed that among the five local government areas in Plateau Central which Senator Dariye represents, Kanam had received the least attention in terms of concrete developmental projects since his election.
According to the letter, the building which was termed “ICT Center Dengi” originally belonged to one Alhaji Muhammad Uzairu, which was later acquired by Kanam LGA sometime in 2010 or thereabouts, where N2million was paid in two installments with a balance of N2.7million.
Calls and text message sent to Senator Dariye by our correspondent were not responded to.
