Dauda sets target at new club

The 26-year-old former Kalmar FF striker in a chat with Fever Pitch yesterday also added that his ambition is to repay the faith imposed in him by the Dutch Eredivisie club which splashed €0.5 for his services.
“I think it’s a good move for me to come play in a huge club like Vitesse and a country like Holland which has strong ties with football so I am looking forward to it and hopefully I will play my part in moving the club forward,” Dauda said.
Unlike many Nigerian footballers, he didn’t start his professional career with any domestic team before moving abroad. He was discovered by renowned agent Victor McDonald at age 18 while playing for Grass root team Highlanders in an amateur game, the agent then helped him to get signed with a Swedish a fourth tier club before he was snapped up by Kalmar FF.
The former Sölvesborgs GoIF player also holds a Swedish passport after over five years of playing competitive football in the country; he gained Swedish citizenship in June 2013.
