Davido who has had a brilliant music career, from debuting his chart-topping hit singles ‘Back when‘, ‘Dami duro‘ to releasing his debut ‘Omo Baba Olowo: The Genesis‘, walked away with the awards for ‘Hottest Single of the Year‘, ‘Best New Act of the Year‘ and ‘Best Collabo of the Year‘

Kunle Afolayan‘s movie ‘Phone Swap’ also won big – with three awards in the ‘Best Actor‘ (Wale Ojo), ‘Best Film Director‘ (Kunle Afolayan) and ‘Best Film’ categories.

Other prominent winners include pop singer Wizkid who bagged the ‘Best Album of the Year‘ and ‘Best Pop/R&B Artist of the Year‘ awards, grand comedian Ali Baba who beat the likes of Seyi Law, Ay, Julius Agwu, Tee A, and Basketmouth and MAVIN Records boss Don Jazzy who won the ‘Music Producer of the Year‘.
