Day Ahmaddiya faithfuls welcome Malik couple in Ogun

Malik, who is the grandson of Sheik Muhammed Alli, the translator of the Holy Quran, was in the state as part of his visit to Nigeria to commemorate the 93rd anniversary of the Movement.  

As early as 8.00 members of the Movement at Ota and Abeokuta trooped out to receive the august visitors amid pomp and ceremony. It was succinctly described as “a wonderful reception” by Samiya Malik. At the Central Mosque of the Movement at Sodeke, Abeokuta, members particularly females donned in their Islamic patterns danced from about 500 meters to usher the Islamic scholars to the venue.

The Secretary-General of Ahmmadiyya Movement, Alhaji Suleiman Ope said that the visit was meant to educate the members on the new trend in the Islamic religion, adding that, “they had met with a printer on how to start printing some Islamic literatures for the people of Nigeria.
