Koko Master, D’Banj is expected to perform at the final episode of the reality television show, ‘Dance with Peter.’ He is also expected to serve as a guest judge over the seven finalists who have emerged following the five-month long competition as one of them is crowned West Africa’s best dancer.
According to sponsors of the programme, Globacom, two female dancers, Amazing Amy (523) and G-Xtreem (507) who gave the their male counterparts a run for their money, are among the finalists slugging it out with five equally talented male dancers, Julius Faktah (520) who is the only remaining contestant from Ghana, C-Fly (524), Da Octopus (503), Kelvin (521), and Mali Hot Boy (511).
A press release informed that the top prize is a Toyota Rav 4 SUV and N3million cash with an opportunity of featuring in the next P-Square music video for the first winner. The first and second runners-up will receive a brand new Honda Civic, N2 million and a brand new Kia Rio car with N1 million respectively, as well as a chance to feature in a top Glo Ambassador’s music video.
“Although all the seven finalists are extremely talented dancers, the top contenders going by their consistency are Julius Fakta, Kelvin Ayanruo and Amazing Amy,” the statement said.
Fakta is a 23-year-old student of the University of Ghana. His dream is to be one of the world’s most awesome and fantastic choreographers. Kelvin is 24 years old and hails from Delta State. He came for audition as a member of Elevators NG dance crew and was picked out by the judges to stand as a solo contestant. Amazing Amy is also being tipped by many for her amazing dance skills which are incredible for her 17 years. Amy is seeking admission into the university. Her dream is to become a professional dancer.
The anxiety for fans about who wins the crown will be laid to rest tomorrow when the show is aired.
Meanwhile, the ‘Igwe’ crooner was guest in a special edition of the famous entertainment news channel, E!News on Thursday where he spoke about his journey through the Nigerian music industry and going beyond borders he didn’t initially envisage when he started while recognising the different people who have made his career a success.
It was the first time a Nigerian artiste was featured on the channel.
The artiste has in recent times bagged several endorsement deals as United Nations Youth Ambassador for Peace, Ambassador to ONE campaign, Globacom, Slot and Bank of Industry among others.
He began his ‘Koko Tour’ yesterday in Owerri and is expected to perform in Abuja tomorrow before going on to Warri on the 27th, and Lagos where the tour will end with a massive concert on the 29th.
