Delta State Police Command has confirmed the discovery of decomposed bodies of a young couple allegedly dumped in a river in Agbarho, Ughelli North LGA of the state.

Spokesperson of the command, DSP Bright Edafe, who confirmed the incident in Asaba, however, said the corpses were not headless as being rumoured.

Thought detail of the incident is still sketching, it was learnt that the deceased simply identified as Naomi and Peter, were allegedly kidnapped about two weeks ago at Federal Junction in Agbarho, Delta State.

A Facebook user, Sunset Awins, who posted the incident on her account, alleged that the couple began dating two months ago.

She added that all efforts by their families to secure their release from their alleged abductors proved abortive. 

It was also gathered that the bodies were retrieved from the river two days ago.

Sunset Awins, on Tuesday, June 6, shared three videos, including the one that shows Peter’s body floating on the river and Naomi’s recovered corpse on the ground. 

“See how these wicked people killed my little princess, cut her forehead and still shot her and threw her into a pond. Naomi your killers would know no peace, RIP my dear,” she wrote.
