An unidentified decomposing corpse of an abducted male corpse has been discovered by the vigilantes at a forest near Nasarawa State.
A member of the vigilante from the area told our reporter that the corpse was found on Friday when members of the vigilantes, who were in the forest searching for the location of the kidnappers that recently abducted two locals from Gundun -Karya community in Kuje Area Council of the FCT.
He said the vigilantes later informed the community leader of the area, who mobilised to the forest but could not identify the corpse.
He said, “The vigilantes went back to the village to inform the community leader, who also mobilised his subjects to the forest.
‘’His subjects observed that the victim was not from the village.”
The vigilante member said the corpse was thereafter buried at the forest, adding that efforts are still ongoing to locate the kidnappers’ new hideout.
