The Federation of Catholic Medical and Dental Students Association (FECAMDS) University of Benin (Uniben) has offered free checkup to 150 patients in Usen community in Ovia North East Local Government Area of Edo State.
President of the association, Raphael Oludele, said the event was part of the yearly contributions of students to rural communities.
“Many rural dwellers are in the habit of shunning medical checkup owing to cost and distance, thus we have decided to bring the hospital close to them,” he said.
