BUK: Dept produces 5 PhD graduates

The Department of Mass Communication, Bayero University, Kano (BUK), has produced five PhD holders.

The Head of Department, Dr Haruna Isma’il said in a statement that three of the graduates who specialized in Political Communication include Umaru Jibrilu Gwandu, Maude Rabi’u Gwadabe and Muhammad Ibrahim Danja. Others are Amina Abana (Media and Conflict Studies) and Ashiru Tukur Inuwa (Film Studies).

Three of the PhD candidates were supervised by Prof. Abdallah Uba Adamu who was a dual Professor of Science Education and Media Studies and the Vice Chancellor, National Open University of Nigeria.

Prof. Umaru A. Pate the Dean, School of Postgraduate Studies and Professor Balarabe Maikaba supervised one candidate each.
