Katsina State House of Assembly said despite the security challenges that bedeviled the state in the last legislative session, it still passed 22 impactful bills.
Deputy Speaker, Shehu Dalhatu Tafoki disclosed this while opening the fourth ordinary legislative session, which began yesterday at the state assembly chamber.
“Throughout last year, the security crisis in the state occupied a large quota in our legislative space to which we responded through appropriate legislative measures such as enacting and amending security-centred legislation.”
Tafoki said the house passed 22 bills, cutting across the sectors of education, justice, health, peace and security, agriculture, bureaucracy and infrastructure among others.
“It is good news that all the bills passed by us during the last session have been signed into law and are in full force,” he added.
