Timaya and MI are among artistes billed to perform for the next 24 weeks at the Glo Campus Storm which began this weekend at the University of Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
According to a release by telecoms company, Globacom, select institutions of higher learning across the country would experience classy entertainment and fun as 17 of Nigeria’s hottest artistes, including Wizkid, Flavour, Omawumi, Reekado Banks, Korede Bello, Di’ja, Runtown, Basketmouth, Bovi and Gordons as well as DJ Lambo manning the jukebox.
The statement said apart from dishing out entertainment, Glo will also be using the youth concert to reward and empower Nigerian students. It said: “240 of them, 10 from each institution, comprising five males and five females, will become campus ambassadors of the Glo brand across the 24 campuses.”
The 10 winners will each receive up to N100, 000 and will also vie for the ‘Glo Data Dude’ and ‘Glo Data Diva’ coveted crowns at the grand finale. The two top male and female winners will each have the chance of winning N1 million in scholarships in addition to being signed on as Glo Brand Ambassadors and get special Invitations to all Globacom organised events.
Students are eligible to participate after they have recharged their Glo SIMs with N500 worth of Glo Campus Booster Data plan.
