Diplomats’ spouses visit Media Trust

The spouses under the aegis of Association of Spouses of Heads of Mission (ASOHOM) were received by the Associate Director/Deputy Editor-in-Chief of the organisation, Mahmud Jega.
ASOHOM President and spouse to Ambassador of Japan, Le Mai Anh Shoji said their visit to Media Trust Limited was to learn from the organisation, interact and enrich their knowledge about Nigeria.
She said most of them just read newspapers but now have the opportunity to meet with the people that are producing it
Vice President of the body and wife to the Ambassador, Trinidad and Tobago, Dela Obika later said the visit was very informative and interaction and looked forward for other collaborations .
She said the organisation usually have a grand charity function every October to raise funds for its work and sought partnership with Media Trust Limited in that regard.
The spouses asked questions about readers’ expectations and interests, circulation methods, gender balance, effect of internet on newspapers and commended Daily Trust for its appealing reader-friendly stories, artistic and graphic presentations.
In all 16 diplomats’ spouses were on the visit and were introduced to Media Trust publications: Daily Trust, Weekly Trust, Sunday Trust and Kilimanjaro, an annual publication which is published to coincide with the African of the year award.
