The New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) has advised the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) to focus on governance and stop dissipating energy muzzling the opposition parties.
NNPP said if the APC government led by President Bola Tinubu could devote at least 25 per cent of energy to governance, the economy of the country would be turned around for the better.
The national auditor of the party, Ladipo Johnson, who read the text of a prepared speech signed by the acting national chairman of the party during a press conference in Abuja yesterday, said that lack of concentration on governance has plunged many Nigerians into poverty as insecurity has also escalated.
“The government of APC is not interested in providing good governance but in how to muzzle opposition parties and other institutions in the country,” he said.
