Chairman of the group, Saka Sakiru, stated this yesterday in Jalingo when the association paid a courtesy call on the SDP governorship candidate.
Saka said that Kente, through his DSK Foundation, had provided his members with wheelchairs and awarded many other educational scholarships to better their lives.
“We have resolved to embark on a door-to-door campaign to ensure that Kente becomes the governor of the state because one good turn deserves another.
“He has donated many wheel chairs to our members and provided educational scholarship to others in a bid to improve our standard of living,” he said.
Responding, Kente said his administration would be committed to protecting, empowering and providing educational opportunities to the less privileged in the state if elected.
He pledged to push for a social and security benefit law, which he believed would address the problems of the aged, the disabled and socially disadvantaged groups in the society.
