A dismissed Nigerian Air Force (NAF) personnel has been arrested in Katsina for defrauding people of money and food items. It was gathered that Nasir Abu (34) of Ramin Kura of  Filin Polo Quarters, was parading himself as a flying officer in military camouflage uniform when he beat up one Saudatu Muhammed Bugaje and extorted from her various items, including phone, gold ring and cash. 

He was also alleged to have extorted five bags of rice valued N68, 000 from a businessman.

The police command’s spokesman, DSP Gambo Isah, said during the course investigation, four sets of air force camouflage uniforms, two army camouflage fez caps, one military hat and 49 pieces of air force buttons were recovered. Other items recovered from him include, nine air force badges, three flight lieutenant’s rank, 10 SIM cards and a car.

Isah said the suspect had confessed to the commission of the crime and would be arraigned in court immediately investigation was completed.
