The petition was presented on the floor of the Borno State House of Assembly by the member representing Chibok, Dala Mutah, on behalf of the petitioners.
The six petitioners alleged that the district head collected N380,000 from each of them amounting to N2,280,000 which they paid to become chiefs but rather than crowning them since two years ago when they made payments, they were left without the crowns .
The petitioners therefore demanded that they be refunded the money because it was obvious to them that the district head was not ready to make them chiefs in their community.
The speaker of the state assembly, Goni Ali Modu referred the petition to the assembly’s committee on public petition to investigate the matter and report to the house.
