The call by the labour union for Nigerian workers to go on strike due to increase in pump price, has expose the labour as a divided house that can’t put its acts together, hence the worst and the first unpopular strike ever witness in the anal labour agitation  in the country.
When the Comrade Ayuba wabba led faction started to spit fire, on his call for Nigerians to prepare for strike, it shows it’s going to be failure with many union affiliated to his fracture union saying they would not embark on strike because they supported the federal government deregulation of downstream sector.
The meeting that took place between the labour union and the federal government should sent signal to the labour leaders to dialogue with government to avoid Embarrassment they would face, should strike commence.
Many Nigerian condemned the call by the labour union to go into another any senseless labour unrest now, that Nigerian are tied of their antics of the labour, with the way they handle the last fuel increased of January 2012 where they compromised with that government to the disbelieved of many Nigerians.
Most Nigerians came out and said with the deregulation of petroleum sector, a lot could be achieved in boosting the nation economy and would ease the suffering of Nigerians in getting fuel without any form of headship. Hence their total and unequivocal support of the present government of its need of the deregulation, and the trust they have for President Mohammed Buhari to ensure all the promised is kept in the development of petroleum sector of the economy.
Report of the strike across the country, showed its death on arrival, where many people came out and also protest in support of the fuel increase and deregulation of downstream.
The only option available for the Comrade Ayuba Wabba is reconcile with other faction of the NLC and meet with federal government delegation to ensure the welfare of Nigerian workers especially the review of minimum wage for workers across the country.
Also this should be a lesson to the labour union in the country, to gauge the filing of the people before calling them for any strike action in future.
We also call on the government to withdraw the case at the national industrial court for the overall interest of peace and industrial harmony.
