Divergent reviews follow Clinton-Patterson thriller

Media outlets are already giving divergent reviews on the recently released Bill Clinton-James Patterson thriller, ‘The President is Missing’.

‘The New York Times’ review headline reads, “Bill Clinton and James Patterson have written a thriller. It’s good,” and goes on to describe it as “ambitious and widely readable.”

But Steven Poole of ‘The Guardian’ doesn’t think so and finds fault with the authors’ use of big action sequences and use of language. 

However, ‘The New Yorker’s’ Anthony Lane goes away from all these to point out the lack of sex scenes. The synopsis to the review reads: “The President Is Missing” contains most of what you’d expect from this duo: politico-historical ramblings, mixed metaphors, saving the world. But why is there no sex?”

‘Showtime’ has announced that ‘The President is Missing’ is soon to make its television debut.
