Nigerian-born international disc jockey and music curator, DJ Spectacles, has been honoured with the prestigious DJ of the Year award at the 5th Annual Eko Heritage Awards held recently, further cementing his growing reputation as one of the most dynamic African DJs making an impact both locally and internationally.

The award ceremony took place on July 27, 2025, at the iconic Lagos Oriental Hotel, Victoria Island, gathering prominent personalities from the entertainment, cultural and creative industries under the theme, “Celebrating Timeless Legacy.”

Organized by Ivory Forte Entertainment and officially endorsed by the Lagos State Government, the Eko Heritage Awards celebrates individuals and brands contributing significantly to the preservation, promotion and advancement of African culture, entertainment and excellence.

DJ Spectacles, whose real name is Clinton Ugochukwu Emenyonu, was recognised for his consistency, innovation, and ability to deliver culturally rich DJ experiences across Nigeria and the United Kingdom. Known for blending Afrobeats, Amapiano, hip-hop, and electronic music into energetic crowd-driven performances, the award reflects his growing influence within the global African entertainment space.

Over the years, DJ Spectacles has built a strong reputation through performances at festivals, nightlife events, cultural showcases and private events, while also gaining recognition for his forward-thinking “Data-Driven DJ” methodology, which leverages audience insights and music trends to create immersive musical experiences.
