I don’t really think the country is out of recession because based on my experience as a woman, whenever I go to the market I realize that prices are inflated and the quantity is reduced, even the quality of products. In my own view the country is still in recession.

Nigeria is okay based on my lifestyle because then when we were in recession, when I work and get a little money I spend it and it is not even enough. Just recently I went to the village and farmed and it is faring well in the market and I don’t have any food problem, therefore I would say Nigeria is out if recession.

The government is saying we are out of recession but we have not really seen it reflecting on the citizens. From what they are saying the prices of commodities will fall, including fuel and currently we haven’t seen anything. We hope things will be better but at the moment we haven’t seen anything.

Everybody has his own opinion. I may not be the right person to tell you whether we are out of recession or not, but in my view, the country’s economy is still bad because people are suffering. Look at the price of fuel, it is high. This has negative effect on Nigerians. It makes the prices of other commodities high.

Yes, I believe so much in this country. Even before they announced that the country is out of recession, all the indices were just right for me. The economy is stable at the moment. We have been running a false economy for a long time. The country has invested so much in agriculture at the moment and I think that has improved the economy.

I believe in proof, and so far I have not seen any. They just made the announcement that the country is out of recession, but it has not yet reflected in the life of the common man. We are still suffering, the rate of inflation is still high and the prices of commodities that are high are not coming down, therefore I don’t see any reason why you will say we are out of recession when it is not showing. So I don’t think we are really out of recession.

I can’t really say yes or no, but from what I can see there has not been serious change. Now that they are saying we are out of recession we are not the ones to determine if we are or not. We have to go to the market in order to ascertain if what they are saying is really true. It is just basic analogy. If we are out of recession, what are the facts that prove we are out of recession? They have to check what was the data when we were in recession and what is the data saying now. They should show us facts.
