Does my husband love me at all?

My own problem is a very simple one but it bothers me all the same.  I am a young woman and recently got married, expecting my first baby at the end of this year.  I love my husband very much and I try as much as possible to show him but he is not reciprocating.  I am beginning to think that it is either he does not love me or something is wrong with what I am doing. I am seeking your advice on what I should do to make him know that I love him and also get positive response from him.
Gimbiya

Dear Gimbiya, your problem is indeed simple, but it is good you noticed on time so you can take corrective measures because a seeming simply problem can became complicated one if left to fester.  I have a feeling that both of you are just trying to get to know yourselves especially if you were introduced to each other or let me put it better; if the marriage was arranged.
Age could also be a contributory factor if he is young like you; he maybe shy or just doesn’t have a clue about what is expected of him as a husband, even if he loves you in his own way. You must also bear in mind that our environment somehow limits the way we relate to the opposite sex and he may have carried this over to his marriage. I get the feeling also that your communication may have been limited to only action, you may need to employ the use of verbal communication too.
With due respect, sometimes, our men can hardly read actions even though they  communicate better with actions, that is the irony; they cannot read body language very well, yet, they communicate more with body language! My advice to you is to approach him when he is in a relaxed mood and let him know how much you love him and in a very gentle manner, tell him how you feel and exactly what you expect him to do in return.
Remember to also ask him how he would like to be treated.  Exercise a great deal of patience with him, make him comfortable while you remind him occasionally about your feelings for him and guide him on how to reciprocate.  I am optimistic that as he becomes more comfortable with you and the idea of being married to you, he will communicate better if that hopefully is his only problem.

Help – she’s obsessed
with me!
Dear Nana,
I need your help urgently to get me out of trouble. There is a lady in our area that has been bugging my life. She has indicated interest in me but I don’t like her and have told her that I was not interested in a relationship with her but she has refused to back off.
This lady has a habit of following me everywhere to proclaim her love for me and her action is becoming embarrassing and unbearable to me. Please advise me on a way out.

Wow! Isn’t it refreshing to see reverse harassment? Usually, it is the brothers that would not take ‘no’ for an answer from sisters. Well, sisters are catching up with the game I suppose! You may like to borrow this popular line from sisters; ‘I am already committed to someone I love very much and do not intend to stray’.
Now, seriously, I hope your ‘no’ to her advances were clearly and strongly communicated. Try one more time to say a strong ‘no’ to her and if she continues to harass you, you may have to report her to someone she would likely listen to. Also, try and avoid unnecessary niceties with her, it is better if you can avoid her altogether. I wish you luck.
