Dogonbauchi Hails Kyari’s Election as IFAD Governing Council Chair

Hon. Saa Dogonbauchi has congratulated the Minister of Agriculture and Food Security, Abubakar Kyari, on his election as Chairman of the Governing Council of the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD).

In a statement, Dogonbauchi described Kyari’s emergence as a source of national pride and a testament to his leadership, competence and commitment to advancing agricultural transformation and food security in Nigeria.

She said the election of the minister to the global position reflects the confidence of the international community in his vision, integrity and dedication to sustainable agricultural development, rural empowerment and inclusive economic growth.

According to her, Kyari’s leadership at IFAD is expected to strengthen global agricultural cooperation, expand opportunities for smallholder farmers and improve rural livelihoods at a time of growing global food security challenges.
