A domestic servant that attempted committing suicide in Gwarinpa last Wednesday has died. 

Etim Okpo, 33, an indigene of Cross River State, died two days after he drank a substance suspected to be rat poison.  

He was receiving treatment at the General Hospital, Gwarinpa before his death.

The Gwarinpa Divisional Police Officer, CSP Nuruddeen Sabo, said the corpse was deposited at the Kubwa General Hospital, adding that the case has been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department for investigation.

City News reports that he allegedly attempted after his master, allegedly accused him of stealing some blankets.
