Facts about Fear (II Timothy 1:7)
1. It is a spirit; 2. It is not from God; 3. It works through the living especially the humans to fulfil its purpose; 4. It oppresses and afflicts its victims; 5. It kills its victims at the end except for divine intervention; 6. It is the first and one of the greatest weapons of Satan.
Types of fear
Negative and positive fear. Our exposition so far is based on the negative type of fear. The positive type of fear is classified into two. (i) The cautious or natural fear and (ii) the divine fear which makes us to obey God our creator.
Channels of entrance
There are channels through which fear enaters or possesses an individual. Fear enters a person’s life through the hearing and seeing channels—these are the ears and eyes. Fear is always at work seeking who to possess, to destroy and to use to destroy others.
Most times it presents False Evidence Appearing Real to an individual using it to push them around, to put measures in place, to prevent what will never happen (what a waste of strength!) thus making them rely totally on measures they have put in place instead of trusting in God for the measures they have put in place to protect them.
However, in some cases the evidence that makes a person to fear are very real and not false like the evidence of an imminent shame, destruction, loss, divorce, sickness, disease, war, famine, death etc .How can a person then trust in the measures of God for their protection when they have not known Him? You need to know God and be closer to Him. With God you can have dominion over fear. There are kingdom secrets for achieving this. (To be concluded).
