The Oba threatened death on Igbos in Lagos who failed to vote for the gubernatorial candidate of the All Progressives’ Congress (APC), Akinwunmi Ambode, in today’s state elections.
Mavin Records boss, Don Jazzy, has also lent his voice to those who have aired their views on the matter.
Via his Twitter account, @Iam_SkySwag, asked Don Jazzy why he was mum about the issue as he insinuated that the hit-maker hadn’t said anything due to his closeness with the Governor of Lagos State, Babatunde Fashola.
In response to the allegation, Don Jazzy posted the tweets on his Instagram account, saying: “I am a Nigerian first and an Igbo man second. Fashola has treated everyone in Lagos fairly as far as I know and I am proud to be associated with him. #mentor.”
He added that: “As a wise/civilized/respectful Igbo man, I will not desecrate the stool of royalty, even tho [sic] I totally frown at that recording. But I will tell you for free that we all have the freedom to choose whom to vote for & no one can force you or me to vote as he/she pleases. #IDJA.” [sic]
