The bill, among other sources of funding, provides for one percent of profit after tax of corporate bodies and one percent of the income of every employed adult individual.
President of NECA, Mr. Larry Ettah said at the association’s 58th Annual General Meeting(AGM) in Lagos, that the contents of the bill contain infractions which tend to over tax enterprises in  the country.
Ettah implored Buhari to return the bill to the National Assembly for more inclusive dialogue on same by the stakeholders in the sector.
He said, “The overriding consideration of government should be how to introduce a social security safety net within existing fiscal space. We know this is achievable and would be ready to share our thoughts on this at the appropriate time.”
He expressed concern over the unemployment crises in the country, urging President Buhari  to embrace and expand the capacity of  NECA, Industrial Training Fund Technical and vocational  skills to meet the identified needs of industries in Nigeria.
Ettah bemoaned the collapse state of industrial relations system in the public sector which he said has given rise to incessant strikes at the behest of unions.
“Our industrial relations system is at the precipice and time has come to halt this fast ride else the economy and the people will be the victims,” he said.
