As Nigeria continue to experience insurgency attack, medical personnel encourages citizens to donate blood to save lives of the victims

Boko Haram crisis has affected the development of Nigeria in all sectors, security of lives and property, education, business and economy are worst hit.

The internally displaced persons (IDPS) which emanated from Boko Haram mayhem are so in need of encouragement and help both financially and socially. Most of them are in Maiduguri the Borno state capital where camps were established with serious health condition that requires immediate medical attention. Their service is committed to collecting blood from voluntary donors to support those in need of blood especially victims of insurgency.

The aim of their campaign is to stop commercialization of blood in hospitals and provide safe blood for patients in such need. From available research 75% of infected people of human immuno-difficiency virus (HIV) and hepatitis are as a result of  transfusion of widespread blood.

Individuals are urged to participate in donating blood to help those in need by joining the campaign, whoever saves lives, his/her reward will surely meet him /her.

It is necessary to donate blood to help victims of incessant terror attack and bomb explosion. Many have died as a result of excess bleeding from injuries they sustained from evil occurrences. Others in dire need of blood are those suffering from hepatitis and HIV/AIDS.

Also citizens are advised that proper screening of blood should be done before administering to patient so as to avoid infection to the victims.
