The Provost of the Federal College of Agriculture, Moor Plantation, Ibadan, Dr Babajide Adelekan, asks lecturers to follow due process and stop cutting corners in their agitation for promotions.
He called on lecturers suspended on the orders of the Agricultural Research Council of Nigeria (ARCN) to respect constituted authorities.
The provost made the appeal following threats made by some lecturers of the college to embark on strike action over promotion and their wish to become members of the Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics (ASUP), contrary to the Act establishing colleges of agriculture in Nigeria.
