Tattooing
Many people are under the impression that tattoos are extremely safe, especially if they visit a well-respected tattoo artist in a sterile setting. However, a 2015 New England Journal of Medicine article looks at the public health issues resulting from non-tuberculous mycobacteria (NTM) a bacterial infection caused by contaminated tattoo ink.

Shape wear
The purpose of shape wear is to squeeze oneself into an outfit, but recent research has shown it is doing much more than just smoothing out the wearer’s body. Shape wear, like spanx, can actually cause internal damage to the wearer’s organs, it may be time to recognize that we’re literally shaping ourselves away from reality.
“Wearing constructive clothing can exacerbate acid reflux, causing symptoms like heartburn, upper abdominal pain and regurgitation,” said Rebekah Gross, a gastroenterologist at NYU Langone Medical Center. According to Gross “that being said, any garment that brings out symptoms when worn is probably best left on the shelf.

High heels
Many women wear high heels without giving it a second thought. However it’s important to remember that high heels can be very restrictive in addition to permanently harming ones feet. High heels restrict one’s ability to run if caught in a dangerous situation and if worn extensively detrimental to one’s health. High heels generally cause foot pain after an hour, and can cause bone and nerve damage, restricted circulation and damaged joints and tendons. Not to mention, falling and tripping in high heels can cause sprained or broken ankles and scraped knees. If you’re trying to dress up with heels, a bloody knee and broken ankles probably aren’t the best accessories.

Skinny pant
Low-slung skinny jeans can be a pain in the butt-and they barely even cover the butt! While they’re an integral part of the de facto uniform of hipsters and American high-schoolers, lots of people of all ages have tried squeezing into this trendy denim style. But aside from the fumbling, skinny jeans may also cause real, actual pain.

Body piercing
Body piercing is an invasive procedure. You insert a piece of metal (usually) into the skin. Your body doesn’t want it to be there. If it is a must you get your body pierced, it is necessary that it should be done by a professional so as to avoid unnecessary complications.
Another huge disadvantage of body piercing is the chance of getting an infection. Most people are worried about HIV/AIDS. Since the virus lives in oxygen for between 20 and 30 seconds this is not the one you need to worry about. Hepatitis, staph, and other infections, on the other hand are of great concern. If the piercing is done by a professional who uses sterile equipment then the risk is greatly reduced.
