The well attended launch at the Yar’adua Centre was a book launch with a difference. It featured some scintillating performances from performing poets and groups from all over the country.  The occasion was also symbolic as it coincided with the author’s twenty-sixth wedding anniversary and the eleventh birthday of her twins.

Highlight of the event was the unveiling of the book by former first lady, Mrs. Ajoke Mohammed, widow of Murtala Mohammed.  When Eugenia Abu read from her collection, pathos spewed from the pages, hinting at how evocative the poems in this collection are.
