Dosu, Disu drum support for National Principals’ Cup

Two former internationals and Ambassadors of the resuscitated National Principals’ Cup, Dosu Joseph and Tajudeen Disu have drummed support for the grassroots football competition.

The two ex-internationals are also excited with the preparation of some of the teams expected to take part in the competition.

Speaking in Lagos during their visit to Igbobi College, one of the schools that have excelled in the youth competition, both Dosu and Disu were optimistic that the Principals’ Cup would help to return the lost glory of the country in youth football.

Dosu said “It’s great for me to come back to this school. Immediately I was informed about coming to see the boys, I have been looking forward to it.

“Returning to the school after so many years, the memories came back, and it was nice seeing the chaps that would be representing Igbobi College in the next Principals’ Cup.

On his part, Disu said it was a big disappointment that the competition was in limbo.

He said with the return of the competition, he can’t wait to see the youngsters in action.

Igbobi College team will battle Government College in the ceremonial opening game on February 12 at the Onikan stadium in Lagos.
