The Division Police Officer to Yagba West Local Government Area of Kogi a state, SP Onyiah Augustine has called on the people of the communities to collaborate in effort to tackle insecurity in the area.
The police officer, who was recently deployed to the LGA, made the call when he visited the council chairman, Asiru Abdulrasak Ijagbemi.

The police officer said the fight against crimes and criminality is a collective effort of the security agencies, traditional rulers, religious organisations and the people.
He, therefore, called on all stakeholders in the area to act as catalysts and work in synergy to provide useful information about criminals and illegal activities to the security agencies.
The Division Police Officer assured the chairman of his determination to rid the area of criminals.
The Chairman, Asiru Abdulrasak Ijagbemi urged him to work tirelessly to rid the area of undesirable elements.
He said security is important to the development and economic well-being to the people.
