Dr Abiso Kabir appointed president of ABSE

A public servant, Dr Abiso Kabir, has been appointed as the president of the Association of Business Specialists and Entrepreneurs of Nigeria (ABSE).

Kabir was also conferred fellowship of the association.

Speaking Friday in Abuja at the special investiture and appointment ceremony, registrar of ABSE, Kenneth Oboh, said Kabir was appointed due to his contribution to entrepreneurship development in the country.

Oboh said: “Having observed Dr Kabir closely, we noticed that he had been able to transform lives from poverty to prosperity. So, we decided to bring his achievement to the fore so that other people can learn from him.

“What we want to emphasize is the impact, as this will stimulate the mind of other people to do more. He has done really well in the field of entrepreneurship.

“What is even more inspiring is the fact that he is practically everywhere: Agro-preneurship, oil and gas, export and import etc. With this, he has empowered over 13,000 people in the country.

“We expect that Dr Kabir would come on board and work with us in synergy in fulfillment of our mandate of promoting entrepreneurship and sustainability in Nigeria.”

Kabir, while briefing journalists shortly after the ceremony, said the association under his leadership would do its best to tackle poverty and unemployment.

“As president of ABSE, we would do our best to see how we can advise the government and liaise with private investors and individual companies to contribute our quota to the society in order to checkmate poverty and unemployment in Nigeria,” he said.
