There was a mild drama in Lagos on Thursday when a moving train stopped for a passer-by who sat on the rail track along the Cappa/Oshodi route.
The passer-by, according to findings, was sitting desolately on the rail track after he reportedly lost N35,000 and did not vacate the track despite the blistering horn of the train.
To the chagrin of many onlookers, the Lagos-Ibadan train waited for the man to leave the track before continuing.
This was coming a few weeks after an Abuja-Kaduna train crushed to death a woman driving on the rail track.

When asked why he sat on the track and refused to vacate despite the blasting horns of the train, he stated that he lost N35,000 on his way to the Arena Shopping Complex.
A railway source who spoke to our correspondent said the man was lucky because of the avalanche of activities around the area as the train always reduces its speed when approaching the axis.
Daily Trust also reports that rail tracks in Lagos axis from Agege, Ikeja, Oshodi, Mushin down to Ido terminal are always a beehive of activities with many people displaying different items for sale.
The traders would usually vacate the tracks any time a train is approaching.
A former Lagos District Manager of NRC, Engr. Jerry Oche once said the Lagos-Ibadan Train Service could not run its full speed because of the activities in the Lagos axis.
When contacted, spokesman for the NRC, Mr. Mahmood Yakubu said he was not aware of the incident. Also, the Lagos District Manager, Engr. Augustine Arisa could not be reached for comment as of press time.
