The call was made on behalf of the players by team captain Kingsley Udoh when one of the latest members of the Executive Committee of the NFF, Chief Emeka Inyama paid the team an unscheduled visit at their Lizzy Sports camp in Accra.

The U-23 captain said he and his team mates are aware of the high expectations from Nigerian fans and would do everything possible to qualify for the Olympics.

On his part, Inyama gave thumbs up to the high level of discipline among the players as he said:

“I must confess I am impressed with what I have seen in your camp. The high level of discipline that saw you win your first warm up game against of one of Ghana’s best club side and the level of discipline exhibited in camp” he said

He urged the team to sustain the discipline all through the eight nation tournament in Morocco.

“I urge you all to keep this spirit. Remember all Nigerians are looking up to you to bring back smiles to their faces. As you already know the Super Eagles are out, the Falcons didn’t qualify; so it’s just you that is left. Please don’t let you country down”

“I assure you that we at the Federation we will do everything that is needed to prepare this team for success in Morocco. As you know we have a listening NFF President and he is ready to give this team everything it needs to succeed.” he added.

Meanwhile, Atletico Madrid of Spain striker, Olaitan Otubanjo has teamed up with the Dream Team V just as Al-Merreikh of Sudan striker Stephen Worgu, arrived Accra yesterday evening.

Worgu and Otubanjo will be part of the Olympic Eagles team that will prosecute its second tune-up game today against Ghanaian premier league side, Tema youths.
