The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has arrested a driver, Abubakar Nuhu, for allegedly absconding with his employer’s trailer.
CP Saka Ajao Adewale disclosed the arrest to journalists at the command headquarters on Saturday.
He stated that the arrest was made after a complaint was filed at the Jabi police division by one Mrs. Okanrmhen.
The CP said the woman reported that her driver, Abubakar Nuhu, from Magana village in Bauchi State, absconded with her trailer (registration number GWA 40 XC) after delivering a consignment of cement to a factory in Obajana, Kogi State.

According to the police, the suspect had deliberately removed three tracking devices from the vehicle, but he was unaware of a fourth, hidden tracker that remained active.
Acting on the information from the hidden tracker, operatives from the Jabi police division were able to quickly locate and recover the trailer and arrest the suspect in Kaduna State.
CP Adewale said that further investigation revealed that the suspect had also painted over all personal identification markings on the vehicle with black paint to prevent the owner from tracing it.
He said the suspect is currently in police custody, and efforts are ongoing to apprehend his accomplices who are still at large.
