A 25-yr-old commercial driver has been arraigned before a Magistrate court 31 sitting at Gyadi-Gyadi, Kano for allegedly driving a car without effective brake.
Nasiru Abdullahi, a resident of Hotoro Tsamiyar Boka in Nassarawa Local Government Area, was accused of damaging three tricycles after he ran into them with his car while driving along Sabo Bakin Zuwo junction.
“The first tricycle with registration No NSR 401 CH belongs to Gambo Mohd of Zoo Road quarters, the second with registration No NSR089QD and the third tricycle with registration No DAL 128 WL belong to Hassan Bello of Dandinshe quarters and Ashiru Aminu of Kurna quarters respectively,” the FIR said.
When the FIR was read to the accused person, he admitted committing the one count charge offence which contradicts section 125 of the Penal Code Law.
However, Senior Magistrate Binta Ibrahim Galadanci granted the accused person bail in the sum of N50, 000, 00 and two sureties, one of which must to be a biological father of the accused and the other his blood relation. She adjourned the case to 9th March, 2017 for summary trial.
