The police in Lagos are investigating the death of a 47-year-old driver, Shodiya Olanrewaju, whose body was said to have been found in a company’s swimming pool at Kofo Abayomi Street, Victoria Island, Lagos.

The Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, Chike Oti, who confirmed the development, said that the police received information on March 3, 2019 that on March 2, 2019 at about 7.40am, a driver and staff member of Salama Fikira MGT Ltd, Shodiya Olanrewaju, had drowned in the company’s swimming pool, located within its premises at Kofo Abayomi Street, Victoria Island, Lagos.

Oti said that police detectives visited the scene and took pictures of the deceased. The policemen then evacuated the corpse and deposited it at the Lagos Island General Hospital mortuary for autopsy.

He added that some people had been questioned and investigations were continuing.
