A Gombe State chief magistrate’s court sitting at Tumfure, yesterday, ordered a 32-year-old driver to be remanded in prison custody over alleged theft of vehicle spare parts.

The accused, Iliyasu Hamza of Hayin Kwari, Misau LGA of Bauchi State, was alleged to have trespassed into a mechanic’s garage in Gombe metropolis and carted away some items which value was not yet known.

A watchman at the garage was said to have arrested the accused with motor vehicle generator set, electric wire cable, brain box and horn.

He pleaded guilty to the charges when asked by the court.
