A driver was trapped to death while two others sustained injuries after a bus rammed into a truck at Awawa village on the Abuja-Lokoja Road.
A witness said the accident happened around 8pm on Friday when the driver of a J5 bus with registration number AGL 827XA loaded with pineapples rammed into a stationary DAF truck with registration number XA136GKW.
He said the bus driver died on the spot, while two passengers sustained injuries and were rushed to the hospital.
The Abaji Unit Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Shehu Abubakar Dogondaji, confirmed the accident, which he attributed to speed limit violation.
