Drone technologies can help Nigeria fight terrorism and increase revenue, an expert has said.
Oliver Frese, managing board member at Deutsche Messe, organisers of CeBIT 2017 show, said yesterday in a statement that drone tech could improve the security situation in the country and help shore up its revenue.
“Drones can be used to locate earthquake victims, fight fires, save lives, assess the extent of agricultural damage and take forest inventories.
Almost every day new applications arise for them. But it is not just a matter of drones: In the future, unmanned systems in general will be changing the nature of transport on land and sea”, he said.
The Country Representative of CeBIT in Nigeria, Mr. Mkpe Abang, said there would be special focus on drone technologies and solutions at the CeBIT 2017.
