A drunken truck driver on Wednesday crashed into a bus around the Ota-Idiroko expressway in Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government Area of Ogun State, killing the bus driver and his motor boy on the spot.
Our correspondent gathered that the incident occurred at Castinjo/Ola bus stop along the highway.
The spokesman for the Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Agency (TRACE), Babatunde Akinbiyi, confirmed this to newsmen in Abeokuta.
Quoting an eyewitness, Akinbiyi said the truck driver was speeding and, in the process, lost control of the wheels and rammed into the bus coming towards Ota.

He said the bus driver and his motor boy were killed on the spot.
Akinbiyi hinted that the truck driver and his motor boy fled the scene and disappeared into thin air.
The TRACE spokesman said the wreckage of the bus had been cleared from the road while the corpses had been deposited at Ifo General Hospital.
He said, “The MAN diesel truck with no number plate was driving inbound Idiroko from Ota when the driver, due to drunk driving and excessive speed, lost control and rammed into the bus driving in the opposite direction from Idiroko to Ota.
“The driver of the bus and the motor boy died on the spot due to the impact of the collision while the drunken driver of the truck and his motor boy ran away.
“The accidented vehicles (Truck and Bus) have been evacuated from the road to Onipanu Divisional Police Station, Ota, while the bodies of the dead have been deposited at Ifo General Hospital morgue.”
