Stephanie Linus’ ‘Dry’ and C.J. Obasi’s zombie horror movie, ‘Ojuju’ will be showcased at the UK African film festival to hold from October 23 to November 1.
The festival known as Africa in Motion (AiM) Scotland African Film Festival is hosting a Nigerian-Scottish Film Odyssey which will explore the similarities and differences between independent filmmaking in both countries, looking at funding opportunities, production, distribution and storytelling practices.
During their time in Scotland, Obasi and Linus, AiM says “will have the opportunity to meet and engage with young filmmakers from Scotland and key industry stakeholders in discussions around the state of independent filmmaking, including production, funding and distribution. These discussions will then feed into an industry day held at the Lighthouse, Glasgow, where leading professionals from both industries will engage on storytelling practices, audience development and production.”
