The Department of State Security (DSS) and Police in Anambra State have expressed readiness to collaborate with the Federal Polytechnic Okoh in the fight against cultism.
The leadership of the security agencies made the commitment yesterday in Awka, during separate courtesy visits of the governing council of the polytechnic to the organisations.
The state Commissioner of Police, Garba Umar, commended the polytechnic authority over its zero tolerance for criminality, disclosing that none of the 180 students recently arrested in connection with cultism in various campuses across the state was from the polytechnic.
Earlier, the Chairman of the governing Council of the polytechnic, Hon. Chief Lasbry Amadi said they were at the offices of the security agencies to seek synergy against criminality.
