Kanjuka spoke in an interview on Friday at the Margaret Ekpo International Airport, after the team arrived for the match billed for U.J. Esuene Stadium.
The Eagles had arrived on May 17 and were lodged at the Transcorp Metropolitan Hotel, Calabar, for the match.
“We have the capability to contain and even beat the Super Eagles. The best team will win on Sunday. We are not intimidated by the big names in the Nigerian team.
“We will also not allow Eagles past pedigree or history to intimidate us. Victory is not about the big names and the small names.
“I am going to meet 11 players on field on Sunday and I am sure the Brave Warriors will overpower the Eagles.
“The football is round and we are going to play on Sunday when we are going to see the result,”
According to him, the Namibian contingent for the match is made up of 21 players and six officials.
Also speaking, Team Captain, Ronald Ketyijor, said he was confident that the Nigerian’s team was beatable.
“In Super Eagles previous record three years ago when they played in Botswana, they did not have a good record.
“The Eagles went away to Rwanda and the result was still not good, we will play them on Sunday.
“There is no big team in Africa. Nigeria also did not make it to the Nation’s Cup qualifier. I think their form is not very good; it has gone down for some years now.
“We have been preparing all along and I think we are ready on Sunday, victory depends on the game,” Ketyijor said.
NAN reports that the Namibian team which arrived in Calabar on board Arik Air were lodged at the Channel View Hotel.
The Namibian contingent got a feel of the Calabar hospitality on arrival as members of the team were given some souvenirs by the Calabar Carnival Commission. (NAN)
