The encounter at the UJ Esuene Stadium, Calabar has been brought forward to 2pm from the initial 4pm match time by the NFF to accommodate the West African foes travel schedule back to Bamako on Monday through Lagos.

Similar reason was responsible for the 2pm kick-off time against Guinea last month which saw the Eaglets win 3-0 despite the harsh weather condition.

Garba said no sacrifice will be too much for his wards to ensure a convincing win against the Malians on Sunday.

“We’re playing Mali at 2pm on Sunday and that means we must be battle ready,” Garba told his wards after they rounded off training midday on Wednesday.

“It’s good we’ve been familiarising ourselves with training around this time.

“We shouldn’t have any worry playing any time as we’ve been training over time both in bad and good weather condition.

“We must brace up for the Malian challenge.

“I don’t believe any sacrifice is too big on our part as far as it guarantees outright victory on Sunday,” he said.

Temperature in Calabar is fluctuating between 25 and 30 degree Centigrade with a maximum temperature of 31 degree Centigrade expected on Sunday afternoon according to weather experts.
