Garba said his side are battle ready for the tie, adding that the team are in good form to preserve its streak of 16 successive wins in both friendly and competitive matches.

“I’m sure we can beat Guinea in Conakry,” Garba said with an unmistakably confidence before travelling out of the country.

“Except the first practice match we drew when we were just one week in camp, we’ve won all other matches and Guinea are not going to be an exception.

“In fact, we’re going to play against Guinea on Sunday as if we’re playing a World Cup final match and by the special grace of Almighty Allah, we’re going to come back victorious,” he said.

CAF has appointed Moroccan referees as officials of the match between Guinea and Nigeria.

The 36-year-old Mounir Errahmani will be at the centre assisted by Mouhib Abdallah Filali and Mohamed Lahmidi.

The fourth referee is Hicham Tiazi while Leonal Vangente from Sao Tome & Principe will serve as the match commissioner.
